A NEW MUSICAL -

A NEW MUSICAL -

Five people huddled together on a stage, leaning forward and appearing surprised or intrigued, with blue chairs and curtain in the background.
Two women sitting in chairs, smiling, with notebooks in their laps, in a room with stackable chairs.
People practicing for a play or performance in an auditorium, with some sitting on stage and others working at a table with sheets of paper and music.
A man with gray hair, wearing a black hoodie and gray jeans, is kneeling on a wooden floor, writing on a sheet of paper with a yellow marker. There is a water bottle, some documents, and a yellow marker on the floor. Behind him is a rolling cart with books and a black and yellow suitcase.
A person with glasses playing a keyboard or digital piano, with two individuals leaning over and observing, in a room with a wooden floor and table with papers and documents.

The Final Days of Lycoming Mall is an energetic workplace comedy set in one of the dullest spaces in the US: a dead Mall in northern Pennsylvania. It tells the story of three of the last remaining Mall employees and the risks they take to build better lives for themselves. Set to an infectious synth-pop score, the show memorializes Mall culture and challenges the audience to commit to their goals.

Book & Lyrics

Book & Music

“Driven by an infectious 1980s-inspired synth-pop score, the show follows three employees clinging to jobs that no longer quite fit. (…) With catchy tunes, hilarious antics, and a sincere appreciation for the community that inspired it, The Final Days of Lycoming Mall brings life to one of America's most notorious liminal spaces and shows that the end of one place can be the beginning of a brighter future.”
